An article by Walter Williams explains it all:

According to Karl Zinsmeister’s article “The Shame of America’s One-Party Campuses” in The American Enterprise (September 2002), campus political, and
hence ideological, diversity is all but absent. Mr. Zinsmeister sampled faculty political affiliation obtained from local voter registration records at several universities.

He classified faculty who registered as Democratic, Green or Working Families Party as members of the party of the Left and those registered as Republicans or Libertarians as members of the party of the Right.

The results were: Brown University, 5 percent of faculty were members of the party of the Right; at Cornell it was 3 percent; Harvard, 4 percent; Penn State, 17 percent; Stanford University, 11 percent; UCLA, 6 percent; and at UC Santa Barbara, 1 percent. There are other universities in the survey; however, the pattern is the same — a faculty dominated by leftist ideology. In some departments, such as Women’s Studies, African-American Studies, Political Science, Sociology, History and English, the entire faculty is leftist. When it came to the 2000 election, 84 percent of Ivy League faculty voted for Al Gore, 6 percent for Ralph Nader and 9 percent for George Bush. In the general electorate, the vote was split at 48 percent for Gore and Bush, and 3 percent for Nader. Zinsmeister concludes that one would find much greater political diversity at a grocery store or on a city bus.

So what does all this mean? It means your son or daughter will be taught that the Founders of United States were racists and sexists; capitalism is a tool used to oppress women and minorities; literature and philosophy written by “dead white men” is a tool of exploitation, one person’s vision of reality is just as valid as another’s, one set of cultural values (maybe the Taliban’s) is just as good as another, poverty is caused by rich people, and America is destroying the planet.

One of the most frustrating experiences as a conservative, is the misnomer that conservatives are racist. I knew it to not be true. We are conservatives...period. Yes, there may be a few David Dukes left in the world, but they are a dinosaur remnant of ignorance and intellectual dishonesty.

In this concession speech by John McCain, Mac asserts this very principle.

THEREFORE...

The race-baiting of the last 50 years is hereby over with. President-elect Barak Obama is defined by his political stances. He is the 2nd most liberal in the Senate. Did you see those words... LIBERAL not the 2nd most "African American" in congress!

So, the racism of the black culture, must be left behind. No longer will the lowest common denominator be what defines a race or people. The Jesse Jacksons, Al Sharptons, the Mfumes and Farrakahns of the world are hereby declared as much a dinosaur in the history of this great nation, as poll taxes are.

We UNIFY with all Americans, in the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, "I have a dream..." which has been fulfilled and realized to the highest degree possible. We are proud to leave this legacy behind.

So, in the next four years, we will protest to see the words "racist" applied to any conservative when we resist the socialist agenda of President Obama. We will remain steadfastly with Reagan-like conservative principles and ideas. The party called "The Republicans" can return to this mark, or we can start another party... it makes no difference to us. We are the conservatives.

Fox News publishes false "Black Panther" Endorsement

What is interesting is "Bradical" links to the article which quotes Shabazz (Black Panther Party leader) stating they endorse Obama.

The KOS thinks it is more important to note that Obama's campaign rejected the endorsement, THEN makes the Foxnews story wrong, as significant. Amateurs.

In a segment called "Weekdays with Bernie and Jane", Fox News pundit Bill O'Reilly ask the liberal-leaning journalism professor Jane Hall a question. Possibly the first time in TV history a straight answer was given in political discussion. For this, we tip our hat to Jane Hall.

After commenting on the powerful images the Rev. Wright has produced in the media as well as the assertion that the sympathetic media is the only source Obama will give press time to, O'Reilly asked this question:

O'Reilly: "Look, Jane, can (Obama) come back in your opinion... just using the "friendly" media? Can he?"

Media pounces on Obama, Trinity UCC

Joe Fitzgerald at the Boston Herald chimes in on the Obama - Wright controversy:

Obama, who claims the title of his second book, “The Audacity of Hope,” was inspired by Wright, is now audaciously hoping to defuse the latter’s inflammatory rhetoric by suggesting his comments were “part of his social gospel.”

It’s not going to fly. Even a smooth talker can’t get away with that.

It’s true, Christianity does have a social gospel as well as a saving gospel, and no one personified the former more passionately or effectively than Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who gave his life for it 40 years ago next month.

To his everlasting credit, King called black extremism exactly what it is, which is every bit as evil and dangerous as white extremism, because neither side of that lunatic fringe moves us any closer to the common ground he died believing we could all attain.

Listening to Wright’s racially polarizing polemics is to realize Obama’s rationalization is ridiculous. Social gospel? Please. George Wallace, Lester Maddox and Orval Faubus all thought they had a social gospel, too.

Black or white, a nut is a nut.

This won't end the debate, and shouldn't. But it's a classy move. You don't disown a man this close to Obama's spiritual development over the years for political reasons. Obama's not a Clinton. But a more forceful explanation of why and how Obama rejects Wright's most inflammatory sound-bites would be helpful at some point. A bigger speech reiterating his own rejection of racial resentment would be even better - soon. Why not in a black church? [Sure, as long as it is not a campaign speech]

It certainly could be the case that Obama personally didn’t hear Wright’s 2003 sermon when he proclaimed: “The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ‘God Bless America.’ No, no, no, not God bless America, God dxxx America, that’s in the Bible for killing innocent people. ... God dxxx America for treating our citizens as less than human.”

But Ronald Kessler, a journalist who has written about Wright’s ministry, claims that Obama was in fact in the pews at Trinity last July 22. That’s when Wright blamed the “arrogance” of the “United States of White America” for much of the world’s suffering, especially the oppression of blacks. In any case, given the apparent frequency of such statements in Wright’s preaching and their centrality to his worldview, the pretense that over all these years Obama had no idea that Wright was saying such things is hard to sustain.

Critics say Obama may not have ended the controversy because he has had a relationship with Wright for nearly two decades. Obama had described Wright as his spiritual mentor. He was married in the church, and Wright was a member of Obama's African American Religious Leadership Committee.

"This is a man who he chose to be associated with. It's not a family member," said Juan Williams, a Fox News analyst and National Public Radio correspondent. "It could be a big problem."

He said Obama's relationship with Wright "speaks to his character, and it speaks to the judgment which is the basis on which Barack Obama has been running."

The church attended by Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) fought back Sunday against mounting criticism of its pastor, accusing the media of character assassination and “crucifixion.”

Otis Moss III, the current pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ, used his pulpit to defend his congregation and its past minister, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., from a wave of controversy stemming from inflammatory statements made by Wright.

"We have listened and watched as the wonderful work of our church has been vilified this week," he told about 3,000 congregants on Palm Sunday morning. "This week should be special for us because I guess we know a little something about crucifixion."

In a publication from FoxNews, and heard in a recording on YouTube, Jeremiah Wright rants, and raves, a curses his (Obama's) congregation into a seething froth of hate. His pulpit is an embarassment to the blood of Christ!

“Fact number one: We’ve got more black men in prison than there are in college.

“Fact number two: Racism is how this country was founded and how this country is still run.

“We are deeply involved in the importing of drugs, the exporting of guns and the training of professional killers. … We believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more than we believe in God. … We conducted radiation experiments on our own people. … We care nothing about human life if the ends justify the means.

Stuart Smalley, aka Al Franken is running for office in Minnesota. In September during a DFL debate at Augsburg, MN (?), Franken said:
